In September 2021, Marcell Jackson opened coworking space Ambition Center MKE. Located in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, the space is intentional about welcoming BIPOC entrepreneurs and freelancers to join their workplace community.

Ambition Center MKE offers a number of features unique to the typical coworking space. In addition to the workspaces and office services that have become standard for these spaces, the center also provides free business and career coaching. The center also offers a series of lectures on business-related topics from marketing to finance designed for an audience looking to grow a small business. Known as The Collab Corner, the series is emerging as a popular offering from the center. These events are currently hosted online and are free for all to attend.

The organization is offering Free Coworking Fridays through the end of April in hopes of attracting remote workers who want something other than the work-at-home experience. The offer, organized by Community Manager Intern and Marquette University student DeQuan Shannon, allows visitors free use of the center, including the Podcast & Media Room, from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Shannon emphasizes the welcoming community being developed at Ambition Center MKE. He encourages anyone interested in touring the center to contact him. The team is eager for the city to see the center and experience the collaborative spirit of its members for themselves.
