Pitch Contest

Reverse Pitch Winner Announced

The MKE Tech Hub Coalition hosted a virtual community pitch back event on March 18 to showcase the winning teams and other select 2021 pitches. Participants in the event included Milwaukee based companies Evida Solve and Pythonic, as well as companies headquartered outside of the Midwest.

Attendees heard five pitches from Reverse Pitch winners chosen by Northwestern Mutual, Rockwell Automation, West Bend Mutual, and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. The teams vied for an additional prize, decided by guest judges Dana Gutherie, Managing Director, Gateway Capital, Nyra Jordan, Social Impact Investment Director, American Family, and Dan Renouard, Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives, Baird.

The winner of the contest was MoSAYcity, an EvidaSolve product that simplifies and accelerates relationship building by removing barriers in hybrid, dispersed, and global workplaces. This Slack app was chosen by Northwestern Mutual as the winner of their “Expanding on our Relationship-Based Culture” challenge.

Company founder, Dr. Shalini Nag, gave the winning presentation. She provided an overview of how the app combines personal interest, professional goals, and schedule preferences to build connections for new employees. The tool can also be used to develop an increased sense of belonging for established employees.
