VC firm gener8tor connects female founders with funders
It is no secret that startups founded by women are receive much less venture capital funding than their male counterparts. In 2023, companies founded solely by women garnered just 2.1% of the total capital invested in venture-backed startups in the US.
Wisconsin-based gener8tor, the nationally ranked venture capital firm and accelerator, aims to change those statistics.
On Wednesday, August 28, gener8tor is hosting free lightning round event for investors to connect with female founders in a virtual setting from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT.
Female founders interested in the opportunity to meet investors eager to back women-led businesses should register online to pitch their startups. Investors will review the registered startups and make appointments with founders who might be a good fit for their portfolios.
Over 100 investors have registered to view the list of startup applications, with many already scheduling one-on-one meetings.
