What is a Startup Business?
All businesses are important to the Milwaukee economy. From large manufacturers to the corner store, each business plays a vital role in our city. This initiative focuses exclusively on startup businesses. These businesses are typically, but not exclusively, technology-based and create something innovative that is not yet offered in the market. This unique product or service is typically designed to be scaled beyond a single location or geographic region.
Meet Your Startup Storyteller
Anna Lardinois earned a BA in English from Alverno College and an ME in Instructional Technologies from Cardinal Stritch University. She has written 10 books on regional history and lore, including the popular titles Shipwrecks of the Great Lakes and Milwaukee Ghosts and Legends. Her freelance work has appeared in local and national publications, including Milwaukee Magazine and Bowlers Journal International. Lardinois served as the 11th Pfister Narrator in 2018. During the yearlong residency, she wrote about the guests and history of the landmark hotel.
