A second look at Q1 VC funding
According to PitchBook data, 30 Wisconsin-based startup companies raised at least $119.48 million in venture capital in the first quarter of 2024.
Wisconsin investors led eight deals, resulting in $86.72 million invested in companies headquartered in the state.
Eleven documented Q1 investments came from startup accelerators. Plug and Play Tech Center out of Sunnyvale, California, invested in Fitchburg-based Isomark. Global Insurance Accelerator, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, made a $50,000 investment in Green Bay-based AppEase.
Accelerator powerhouse gBETA, headquartered in Wisconsin, made undisclosed investments in nine emerging Wisconsin-based companies.
