eCourt Reporters compete for capital in Atlanta

Burlington-based eCourt Reporters is a finalists in the Startup Runway Foundation’s Summer Showcase. The company is the only Wisconsin startup to make it to the final round of the competition that attracted applications from 5000 startups from across the nation.

The Startup Runway Foundation was founded in 2016. The Atlanta-based non-profit Angel Network is focused on connecting “female founders and founders of color” to investors. The organization has a number of corporate sponsors, including Madison-based American Family Insurance.

CEO Karen Renee will compete against nine other startups to win $10,000 in capital on August 11 at 2:00 PM. Earlier in the summer, eCourt Reporters won $2000 as a finalist in the Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition.

“We are truly honored to be a finalist among this elite list!  We are pleased to be on the Startup Runway venue to share our awesome platform and make new connections,” Renee said.  “I’m hoping some familiar faces will be joining the virtual event as we continue our mission to improve efficiency in the legal community.”

Vice President Judy Gerulat will be supporting the effort from the sidelines. “I am thrilled that Karen Renee has been chosen to be a finalist with Startup Runway.  She has worked hard to get to where we are today.

“We are both excited about the new prospects and connections that will be made at this event.  It’s wonderful to be a part of a pitch contest for female founders and founders of color,” Gerulat said.
