Meet Milwaukee’s Summerfest Tech Pitch Finalists

The Summerfest Tech Pitch Competition returns on June 26 with eight startups competing for a chance to win a share of $50,000 in prize money.

The competition, produced by Young Enterprising Society in partnership with Molson Coors Beverage Company, saw a record number of applicants from across the globe.

Three startups from the Milwaukee 7 region were chosen to pitch in the competition: Atomix Logistics, Lotza, and RoddyMedical.

Atomix Logistics has made headlines since it launched in 2020. Founder Austin Kreinz moved his third-party logistics business into a 60,000-square-foot warehouse last summer and the company continues to grow. Lotza founder Laura Markewicz hit the ground running when she launched her adaptogen-based non-alcoholic drink mixer in 2023. The Food and Beverage Wisconsin member is also a finalist in the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest. RoddyMedical has been a standout in Milwaukee’s startup ecosystem since its launch in 2018. Registered nurse Lindsey Roddy is at the helm of the Wauwatosa-based company that developed SecureMove-TLC, a wearable, single-use, Class I medical device that can withstand 80+ pounds of pull force and was registered with the FDA in October 2021. In addition to Atomix, Lotza, and RoddyMedial, the following companies are also pitching in the competition: Chicago-based Liff Happens, Econofi and ReachPathways, Detroit-based Athlytic and Zinacare, headquartered in South Africa.
