According to PitchBook data, 30 Wisconsin-based startup companies raised at least $119.48 million in venture capital in the first quarter of 2024.  Wisconsin investors led eight deals, resulting in $86.72 million invested in companies headquartered in the state. Madison-based cybersecurity company Sprocket Security raised $8 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Blueprint Equity on March 28, 2024. Food and Beverage industry newcomer, Lotza, headquartered in Menomonee Falls, is a finalist in the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Competition. Launched in 2023, Lotza is an alcohol-free “carbonated drink mixer made with real fruit, plants, vitamins, and adaptogens.” The beverage company is competing in the Advanced Manufacturing category. The Wisconsin Technology Council recently announced the Lotza named WI Gov’s BPC finalist
